A companion textbook for use in religion courses at the undergraduate- level. The text introduces the reader to the basic strains of Buddhism inside and outside of its homeland of India. Much of the work consists of extracts from various Buddhist writing throughout history, with some elucidation of the meanings of the text included.

On the one hand, a very serviceable course book, that "sort of" goes with "Robinson Plus," and one that can certainly, as I have found, be mined for significant texts as the focus of productive classroom discussions.
