This introduction to audio production covers both the basics and recent technological advances, with a minimum of jargon. It describes each stage of the production process, paying attention to the informational, perceptual, and aesthetic aspects of sound. Basic principles, the equipment, sound design, production, and post- production are all discussed. Complex concepts are illustrated with diagrams and photographs.
