Ramsey and Schafer (both Oregon State U.) present the second edition of this textbook for graduate students who are preparing to design, implement, analyze and report their research. The text requires some knowledge of basic statistical concepts such as means, standard deviations, histograms, the normal and t-distributions, but does not require familiarity with calculus or matrix algebra. Students will need access to a statistical software package and a moderately powerful computer. The text includes a CD-ROM containing case studies and exercises.
