Parents and children can never have enough ways to say "I love you"--and now, America's favorite dinosaurs are giving families a funny book, perfect for bedtime, storytime, anytime. Even when little dinosaurs are naughty, it's important to remind them that no matter what they do, they are always loved. In this book, readers will laugh aloud as parents cope with the typical antics of childhood, but in the end, hugs and kisses show your little one how much you care.

Children's Literature

The Spanish version of How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You? is as charming as the English version. In usual dinosaur fashion, we observe the dreadful behavior that parents spend every waking moment trying to discourage. There is the awful morning mood, the tantrum at the table, the sandbox tornado, and the dismaying flooded bathroom. Through it all, the mommy continues to tell her dinosaur child how much she loves him, in spite of his thorny conduct. Children adore the Yolen and Teague's dinosaur books; they love to imagine that they are dinosaurs, and they imagine their dinosaur selves in these very same predicaments. The dinosaur books make it easy to teach small children how not to behave as they see how ridiculous they can look when they do the wrong things, but they seem to most admire that the dinosaur always learns his lesson in the end. The best part of this book, as in real-life parenting, is the little dinosaur telling his parents he loves them at the end of the day. Reviewer: Mandy Cruz
