When he finishes up what is in the house, he heads to the grocery store, but alas, there are no doodleberries. The grocer suggests that he try some other foods because variety is the spice of life. Wubbzy treks on to the doodleberry patch but still no berries. His friend Daisy has a seed and a magic grow spray, and suddenly there are lots of doodleberries, so many that they have a Doodleberry Day and then all the berries are goneor are they? Wubbzy has a little accident with the spray and now the town is again covered with doodleberries. His friends help with a creative solution, and Wubbzy finally agrees that variety is indeed the spice of life in this clear message to young children to broaden their food horizons, one of the "Wow!
