If a boulder rolls down the aisle of a bus, sending the entire carload careening; if a visitor to the hospital leaves even the staff psychiatrist baffled; or if a hostess discovers her surprise dessert is baked elastic,” you can be sure that Paddington is somewhere close at hand. Still wearing his floppy old hat, he causes trouble wherever he goes. Even a wedding is hardly traditional with Paddington in attendance.
Paddington fans will be delighted once more as their favorite bear turns things merrily, unpredictably topsy-turvy in this revised edition of Paddington Goes to Town.
Once again, poor Paddington cannot seem to stay out of trouble. This time he finds his way into town and has not one, but two adventures. First, he accidentally causes complete chaos at his friend's wedding, then he inadvertently puts his neighbor, Mr. Curry, in the hospital. At least Mr. Curry ends up with new clubs. The fun is only beginning when Paddington takes a hot thermos of cocoa and a cherry cake to his friend at the hospital. The poor innocent bear simply asks how to locate his friend then the confusion begins. He quickly finds himself a patient, discovers a doctor's outfit, and escapes from becoming a rare medical discovery. Now he is loose and roaming the hospital. Watch out! Of course, all things work out, and Paddington winds up a hero. Paddington is a delightful character with a lot of personality. His antics will make anyone burst out laughing.
