Both Taylor and Renpenning have a long association with Dorothea Orem, Taylor since 1976 and Renpenning since 1983. Spanning some four decades1956 to 1998this chronologically-ordered collection of 38 works by Orem reveals some of her findings regarding the nature, structure, content, and relations of nursing sciences, nursing education, and nursing practice. They provide insights into the development and range of thinking about nursing over the years, and the evolution of Orem's self-care deficit nursing theory.
